CHICAGO – There was no question about how much fun Cincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suárez was having after his first-inning home run Tuesday.
For the second straight night at Wrigley Field, Eugenio Suárez hit a solo home run in the first inning against the Chicago Cubs. It was his team-leading 23rd homer and his eighth in the first inning this season, tied for the most first-inning homers in the Majors.
A couple of batters after his home run, Suárez borrowed a microphone from a Fox Sports Ohio broadcaster in the dugout.
“Hey Jim Day, listen, that was for you,” Suárez said to the Fox Sports Ohio play-by-play announcer.
