Eugenio Suárez took Jameson Taillon deep to straight-away center field in the bottom of the fourth inning during the Cincinnati Reds’ 3-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Suárez will have a chance to break the home run record among Reds’ third basemen, which is currently held by Todd Frazier.
Suárez had been mired in a slump but appears to have put that behind him. Saturday’s blast over the wall in center field was his second home run in as many games. After going 15 games and nearly 50 at-bats between his previous two homers, it certainly is good to see Geno back in a groove.
