PHOENIX -- Reds interim manager Jim Riggleman noted Wednesday morning he wanted to get the slumping Adam Duvall and fellow corner outfielder Scott Schebler going offensively by playing them every day. That meant putting aside the four-man outfield rotation for a while and sitting Jesse Winker.
That move paid off, at least on Wednesday, when Duvall got that Reds back into their game at Arizona with a fourth-inning grand slam. It turned a 4-0 Reds deficit into a 4-4 tie.
Against D-backs lefty starter Patrick Corbin, Tucker Barnhart led off the fourth with a single and Joey Votto followed with his own single.
