Dr. Anthony Fauci: Path for Major League Baseball to return is without fans at games

Major League Baseball has floated ideas of what a shortened 2020 could look like in discussions with the Players Association.

One of the publicly-known ideas is putting all 30 teams in Arizona and sequestering the players and staff to essentially create a bubble. Players and staff would travel only to the stadium and to the hotels/housing. They may have to separate from their families throughout the duration of the season to limit the possibility of a novel coronavirus outbreak.

There are many logistical challenges with that idea, and MLB said in a statement that it hasn’t settled on any plans or sought approval from any local, state or federal officials.
