As the proprietor of This Space, I’m always reluctant to issue proclamations, aka have Hot Takes. One, I hate that stupid phrase, originated I think by hipper-than-thou radio-TV guy Jim Rome. Usually, Hot Takes are Stephen A. Smith-ian bleats that involve all the intelligence of a ham sandwich. Two, they’re usually wrong.
You can’t Hot-Take a baseball season. (Yet another reason to love baseball.) You could, for example, look at the three games just played and suggest loudly they marked the definitive end of the Cincinnati Reds' rebuild and the beginning of their road back to contention.
