CHICAGO – Battling injuries during the start of Spring Training and placed on waivers in March, Reds infielder Dilson Herrera admitted there were moments where he questioned if he would ever return to the Major Leagues.
More than three months later and he was back in a Major League dugout.
The Reds announced they promoted Herrera from Triple-A Louisville on Friday morning, essentially replacing Brandon Dixon as a bat off the bench.
