Dilson Herrera delivers walk-off single, Cincinnati Reds stun St. Louis Cardinals with comeback win

Entering the bottom of the ninth inning Monday, the Reds hadn’t shown much sign of life at the plate.

St. Louis Cardinals starter Daniel Poncedeleon tossed seven no-hit innings in his Major League debut. Phillip Ervin ended the bid for history with a pinch-hit single in the eighth.

Down to the final out, Eugenio Suarez hit a game-tying, solo home run to left field. Four batters later, rookie Dilson Herrera drilled a walk-off single into center, handing the Reds’ a stunning 2-1 win at Great American Ball Park.
