After finishing up being swept away in St. Louis, the Reds bounced back in a big way behind Anthony DeSclafani, and a couple of big hits late in the game, to take the first game in Milwaukee by a score 6-1.
And while the offense broke out late against Wily Peralta, on the back of a three-run home run by Zack Cozart and a two-run shot by Joey Votto, the real top performer of the game was DeSclafani. After being the first Reds pitcher to earn a win after last week’s showing against the Cub, he pitched even better this go-around.
