GOODYEAR, Arizona – It was something Eugenio Suárez did countless times throughout the offseason when playing with his young daughter at his home in Florida.
Suárez let his daughter playfully push him into the pool before he dove into the water. The problem was he dove into the shallow end and his arm hit the bottom of the pool. His shoulder extended backward.
“I feel, like, a little bit of a pop, but I didn’t pay attention because it wasn’t bad,” Suárez said. “I keep going, play and not pay attention at all. The next couple of days after that, I started feeling something in my shoulder.
