Cincinnati Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart is lending a hand to Cincinnatians during the novel coronavirus pandemic on what would have been baseball's Opening Day.
Barnhart and his wife, Sierra, purchased gift cards for Big Boy in Queensgate and Eli's BBQ and allowed customers to used the money to get dinner.
"I wish we were all getting ready for the 151st season opener at GABP, but clearly that isn't the case," Barnhart said. "The Cincinnati area has become a second home to my family and me over the last 6 years and we are very happy and thankful to be able to give back to such an amazing city.
