CHICAGO – A rough road trip for the Reds ended with a dud on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds were shut out for the second time this week. Pitchers allowed two more homers. There were some defensive lapses.

It was only two months ago that the Reds swept the Chicago Cubs in a four-game series. That’s when the Reds emerged as one of the hottest teams in baseball for about a month.
