Cincinnati Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani suffers oblique strain; Finnegan leavers Sunday's start with an undisclosed injury

PEORIA, Ariz. - The Reds' quiet spring ended with two injury thuds Sunday.

Right-hander Antony DeSclafani has a left oblique strain. The Reds gave no timetable on his return, but generally, oblique injuries lead to a significant stay on the disabled list.

Two batters into Sunday's game with Seattle Mariners, left-hander Brandon Finnegan left the game with an undisclosed injury.

We'll update when we know more on Finnegan.

The news of DeSclfani's injury was a devastating blow in itself.

“It wasn’t something that anybody knew about until after his last start,” Reds Manager Bryan Price said.
