GOODYEAR, Ariz. – With Alex Blandino recovering from knee surgery, the Reds added some insurance to their infield depth Tuesday and signed Derek Dietrich to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Dietrich spent the last six seasons with the Miami Marlins in a utility role. He primarily played left field and first base last season, but he has a lot of experience at second base and third base. He will be paid at least $2 million if he makes the Major League roster, according to The Athletic.
