The Reds signed right-handed pitcher Tyler Thornburg to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training Tuesday.
Thornburg, 31, made 16 appearances with the Boston Red Sox last season. He recorded a 7.71 ERA with 22 strikeouts and 10 walks in 18 u2154 innings. He was released on July 10 and signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 30. He made 12 relief appearances for the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate before he elected free agency at the end of the season.
