The Reds showed a little late life on offense Friday night – just not enough to avoid a loss.
They fell 5-3 to the St. Louis Cardinals before a crowd of 19,561 at Great American Ball Park.
Two of the runs came in the seventh, the other in eighth. They put the tying runs on base in the ninth. But it just added up to another loss. The Reds have lost eight of nine and stand at 2-11.
