Father's Day baseball will have to wait at Great American Ball Park on Sunday. The Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers will open in a rain delay as they wait for the rain to clear the area.
"We do not anticipate starting today's Reds-Rangers game on time," the Reds announced around before their 1:10 p.m. start. They weren't expected to provide another update until 1:50 p.m.
The Reds lost the first two games in this weekend's three-game series. The Rangers don't have a return trip to Cincinnati, so the two teams will likely take as much time as needed before playing this afternoon.
