Cincinnati Reds Rotation in Flux – Option Rookie Davis to Louisville

The move comes just two days after Rookie Davis gave up four runs in 4.1 innings in the Cincinnati Reds 10-4 loss to the Yankees on Monday night. Davis started five games, but didn’t last past the fifth inning any of them. Cincinnati hasn’t made a corresponding roster move yet, but the most likely candidate to take Davis’ place in the current rotation is Robert Stephenson. If the Reds opt to keep Stephenson in his current bullpen role, then they’ll likely promote either Jackson Stephens or Lisalverto Bonilla from Louisville.
