Reds manager Jim Riggleman on Tuesday's 6-1 win over the New York Mets.
NEW YORK – Sal Romano asked his family to tone things down for his start at Citi Field Tuesday.
"I told them it was OK on a strikeout or something," Romano said.
It had to be hard for the folks from Southington, Connecticut, to show restraint. Romano was that good in beating the New York Mets 6-1 before a crowd of 22,2207. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Reds.
Romano guessed that 200 friends and family made the trip to see him.
