Bronson Arroyo’s retirement party can be put on hold for at least another day.
Tuesday the 40-year-old right-hander recorded his first victory in 1,038 days, as the Reds beat the Orioles 9-3 in the first game of a three-game series at Great American Ball Park.
Last week after getting roughed up by the Brewers, Arroyo told reporters after the game that he might give himself just a couple of more starts before walking away.
He was slightly more upbeat and positive on Tuesday after going five innings and allowing three runs on five hits, but he’s still not sold.
