The Cincinnati Reds made their first roster moves of the offseason Wednesday when they outrighted four players from their 40-man roster.
Infielder Matt Davidson, outfielder Travis Jankowski, left-handed pitcher Jesse Biddle and right-handed pitcher Matt Bowman cleared waivers. The Reds' 40-man roster sits at 37 players. Bowman didn't count as a part of the 40-man roster at the end of the season because he was on the 60-day injured list.
All four players are expected to be non-tendered later in the offseason – which would make them free agents – because they will be eligible for arbitration.
