Cincinnati Reds reliever Dylan Floro develops strikeout pitch

Riggleman on Reds' loss to Milwaukee Wochit

Playing catch with Dylan Floro earlier this year, fellow relief pitcher Amir Garrett noticed all of the late movement on the ball when Floro threw his sinker.

That pitch has the same effect when Floro is throwing from the mound.

Look no further than his appearance in the eighth and ninth innings in a 7-6 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday. Floro struck out four of the six batters he faced, throwing 15 of his 19 pitches for strikes. He forced batters to chase his slider out of the strike zone and froze them with his 92 mph sinker.
