The Cincinnati Reds got some help for their shorthanded bullpen on Sunday, calling up right-hander Collin Balester from Triple-A Louisville. To make room on the active roster, lefty reliever Manny Parra was placed on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis in his left shoulder (retroactive to Aug. 19) and right-hander Donn Roach was designated for assignment by the club.
