After completing the first half of the minor league season, the Cincinnati Reds promoted three prospects to Double-A Chattanooga after Sunday’s games.
Outfielder Allan Cerda, right-hander Connor Phillips and infielder Nick Quintana have bumped up a level from High-A Dayton, The Enquirer learned. Cerda was added to the Reds’ 40-man roster last winter while Phillips and Quintana were trade additions.
Cerda, a 22-year-old who split time in center field and right field, had a .219 batting average and a .369 on-base percentage with 13 doubles, 13 homers, 31 RBI in 62 games at Dayton. His .857 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) ranked 10th in the Midwest League.
