Eugenio Suárez left Wednesday's game in the 8th inning after he was hit by a pitch on his left hand against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bobby Nightengale, Cincinnati Enquirer
It is a player’s worst nightmare. Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. lined a foul ball into the stands Wednesday in Houston and saw the ball hit a child. Almora, distraught, immediately put his hands on his head. He later dropped to one knee and buried his head into his arm.
Cincinnati Reds Manager David Bell saw Almora’s reaction and knew exactly how he felt.
Playing against the Colorado Rockies in 2004, Bell hit a foul ball over the first-base dugout and the ball struck a 7-year-old girl in the head.
