Staying at home during the novel coronavirus pandemic doesn’t feel that odd for Cincinnati Reds reliever Amir Garrett. He’s used to hanging out at home with his fiancée and dogs, and playing video games.
The tough part is waiting for the phone call to tell him when the baseball season will begin.
It’s easy to see he misses the sport. When he was playing in an “MLB The Show” video game tournament against fellow big-league players Friday, he wore his full uniform. He put on a jersey and hat. He wore the all-white pants from players’ weekend last year.
