DENVER – Reds manager Jim Riggleman admitted that a four-man outfield rotation doesn’t translate to the Mountain and Pacific time zones.
But when the Reds are playing in the big parks out west – like Coors Field as they do Friday – only two spots rotate, i.e., Billy Hamilton is going to be in center field in nearly every game.
“We’ve got to have his defense in there,” Reds interim manager Jim Riggleman said. “We’re waiting on his bat. We want to see the on-base percentage get back up there. He was getting it toward .320. We want him to be up in that area, but his defense is extraordinary.
