Cincinnati Reds offense struggles in a 2-1 loss to the Cubs

The Cincinnati Reds offense never got going on Tuesday night against the Chicago Cubs in a 2-1 game where Cincinnati managed just five hits on the night against Kyle Hendricks and three relievers.

The Offense

The Cincinnati Reds didn’t have a hit until the 5th inning when Tyler Naquin singled into center. They wouldn’t get on the scoreboard until the 6th inning when Nick Castellanos connected with an 89 MPH fastball from Kyle Hendricks and put it into the seats in right field for a solo homer to cut the Cubs lead in half, 2-1.
