Sonny Gray made his season debut in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Cleveland, but the way he pitched was the last thing he wanted to talk about.
He pitched fine. He allowed two runs in 4 1/3 innings, yielding six hits and two walks while striking out six. But he was just so excited about the team’s comeback win, taking advantage of a two-out error in the ninth inning to score the game-tying run and then Tyler Stephenson’s walk-off single in the 10th.

“I think there is a lot of room for improvement, personally,” Gray said.
