GOODYEAR, Arizona – The next few days will be an important test for Eugenio Suárez as he recovers from right shoulder surgery last month.
Suárez is planning to throw and take two-handed swings for the first time. He’s been active in camp, taking ground balls at third base without throwing, participating in team defensive drills like rundowns, and standing in the batter’s box for live batting practice sessions without swinging.
“I’m excited to see how my shoulder feels,” Suárez said. “I’ve been feeling good. I feel way better than I thought. This next week is going to be a good week for me.
