GOODYEAR, Arizona – During spring training last season, Robert Stephenson was the last player to make the 25-man roster and adjusting to his new role as a full-time reliever.
It’s a lot different this spring.
Stephenson, who will turn 27 on Monday, is in a better place. He’s considered one of the top options at the back end of the bullpen. His slider made him one of the best strikeout relievers in the league. He completed his first full seasons in the big leagues.
“Getting through spring training was the hardest part, obviously, making the team,” Stephenson said.
