Cincinnati Reds notebook: Hunter Greene continues to pitch well; Nick Senzel has surgery

Hunter Greene is one of the youngest pitchers in the Class-A Midwest League but that hasn’t stopped him from showcasing his potential.

Greene, pitching at Dayton, has recorded a 2.98 ERA since the beginning of May, spanning 10 starts. He’s struck out 50 in 45 u2153 innings, surrendering two earned runs or fewer in his each of his last seven outings.

The 18-year-old reportedly reached 100 mph with several pitches in Wednesday’s start, giving up three hits and one run in six innings.

Greene is a long way from the pitcher who struggled at the start of the year, holding a 13.
