Cincinnati Reds notebook: 12 players cut from spring roster; Sal Romano to be a full-time reliever

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – With under two weeks remaining before the Reds depart Arizona, they reassigned 12 players to minor league camp Tuesday. They have 45 players left in camp, which will need to be cut to 25 by Opening Day on March 28.

The group of players reassigned Tuesday included right-handed pitchers Tony Santillan and Odrisamer Despaigne, outfielders Taylor Trammell, Aristides Aquino, TJ Friedl, Brian O’Grady, Mason Williams and Kyle Wren, catchers Tyler Stephenson and Chris Okey, and infielders Jordan Patterson and Alfredo Rodriguez.
