The Cincinnati Reds have yet to make any major free agent additions or blockbuster trades this offseason. But, the past two days saw the Reds add a reliever to the 40-man roster and lock up a key member of their bullpen.
Iggy is coming back. Raisel Iglesias signed a 3-year contract extension yesterday to remain with the Reds through the 2021 season. The new deal is for $24.125 MM according to MLB.com and will replace the existing deal that Iglesias signed as an international free agent.
So why, you may ask, did the Reds need to redo Iggy’s deal?
