Cincinnati Reds miss opportunity to score first in Game 1 pitchers' duel with Braves

The Cincinnati Reds missed an opportunity in the top of the seventh inning of Game 1 of their Wild Card series against the Braves in Atlanta to break a scoreless tie with two runners on and pinch-hitter Matt Davidson at the plate.

But a pair of rundowns - the first involving Kyle Farmer between first and second base - resulted in Aristides Aquino being tagged out just shy of home plate, ending the inning.

"What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here? Another opportunity vanishes for Cincinnati, and it's still scoreless. ... So bad that we couldn't even diagnose the actual intent of what they were trying to do there," play-by-play announcer Matt Vasgersian said.
