Michael Lorenzen knows a lot of people want to try to help him through his rough start to the 2020 season. There are too many text messages to count.
People wanted to dissect his mechanics. People wanted to offer him tips to help him look more like the dominant reliever he was last season.
Lorenzen, however, says the biggest problem is he stopped pitching like himself.
“I think I’m just getting away from what I do really, really well,” he said. “I’m a guy that attacks hitters. I’m not a Greg Maddux or a Kyle Hendricks or someone who needs to spot up.
