Reds manager Jim Riggleman takes his job title literally.
Riggleman sees his job as managing — the team and the game. Hitting? That’s Don Long’s and Tony Jaramillo’s department. Pitching? Danny Darwin and Ted Power are in charge there.
“I’ll try to stress the details of the game," Riggleman said. "The hitting and pitching – the two biggest areas of the game – they have to take care of themselves.
