Eugenio Suarez was in the MVP conversation in July. He was hitting .312/.399/.574 with 19 home runs and 79 RBI at the All-Star Break.
But the second half has been a struggle for Suarez. Entering Wednesday, he was hitting .241/.320/.444 with 13 home runs and 30 RBI since the break.
September has been particularly cruel: .213/.314/.307.
“I don’t know, I think the pitchers got lucky,” the Cincinnati Reds third baseman said.
