GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Tuesday was David Bell’s first day on the job as Reds manager. There wasn’t a lot of activity. Pitchers and catchers reported and took physicals. Some position player took a bit of batting practice.
The lack of organized activity was by design.
“We intentionally didn’t schedule any meetings for this morning because it’s our first day to be in the building together,” Bell said. “Even though guys are getting their physicals, it’s nice to be available.
