The Reds made a host of roster moves before Thursday night's game with the St. Louis Cardinals. Here's the release from the Reds:
- Placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Tuesday, C Curt Casali (right knee sprain);
- Placed on the 7-day concussion list, retroactive to yesterday, C Kyle Farmer;
- Placed on the 10-day injured list RHP David Hernandez (right shoulder fatigue);
- Recalled from Louisville, to replace Casali, IF/OF Josh VanMeter; recalled from Louisville RHP Lucas Sims;
- Signed to a 1-year Major League contract through the 2019 season C Ryan Lavarnway;
- Designated for assignment RHP Jesús Reyes.
