Scott Schebler immediately called for a trainer. He’d landed funny on his shoulder while diving to rob a base hit in the sixth inning Saturday at Great American Ball Park, and it immediately went numb. Even after a trainer met him in shallow right field, he couldn’t lift it.
So Schebler was pulled from the game, the second Cincinnati Reds outfielder to go down with a shoulder injury in the game. Center fielder Billy Hamilton was pulled at the top of the inning after suffering the same injury to the same shoulder in the same fashion.
