Cincinnati Reds lose 3-2 to Miami Marlins after blowing seventh-inning lead, drop 7th of 8

The Cincinnati Reds' characteristic wild running on the bases helped provide a lead in the seventh inning, but Jorge Soler's two-run homer in the seventh gave the Miami Marlins a 3-2 win over the Reds in a matchup of National League wild-card hopefuls.

It was the seventh loss in eight games for the Reds, who sent their hottest-pitching starter, Graham Ashcraft, to the mound in Wednesday's series finale, against former Reds All-Star Johnny Cueto.
