Cincinnati Reds fans hoped their club would be playing meaningful baseball in September and that hope has been fulfilled. Unfortunately, those games will only be meaningful to the teams they will be opposing. Following a disappointing 11-game road trip in which the Reds went 4-7, they return home with some reinforcements for the final month of the 2019 season.
Yesterday the Cincinnati Reds (64-73) took advantage of the expanded rosters by recalling pitchers Tyler Mahle, Matt Bowman, Wandy Peralta, Sal Romano and infielder Alex Blandino. As the Triple-A season comes to a conclusion today, expect to see more players added to the roster in the coming days.
