Earlier in the week, it appeared the Minnesota Twins might ask former Cincinnati Reds starter Homer Bailey - activated Tuesday from the 45-day injured list - to make the start against ex-teammates in Sunday's season finale.
On Wednesday, MLB.com's Do-Hyoung Park reported via Twitter that the Twins' probable starters for their final regular-season series - at home against the Reds - are José Berríos, Michael Pineda and Rich Hill, meaning Bailey isn't expected to make a start against Cincinnati.
In his second start of the season (and first since July 28) on Tuesday night against the Detroit Tigers, Bailey allowed one run with two hits, a walk and three strikeouts in three innings of work.
