MILWAUKEE – It’s pretty apparent that nothing is going to come easy for the the Reds this year.
They beat the Milwaukee Brewers 10-4 Monday night at Miller Park, ending an eight-game losing streak. But a 9-0 game got a bit dicey with a four-run seventh.
Right-hander Luis Castillo went 6 u2154 innings and allowed four runs on five hits. He struck out eight and walked three. All of runs of scored in the seventh – two on pitcher Jorge Lopez’s two-out, two-run double, the first hit of his career.
The Reds did something they haven’t done very often this season: They jumped out to an early lead.
