Considering Byrd fractured his right wrist on June 2, it’s truly amazing he came back so quickly. He missed only 15 games and played a brief two-game rehab assignment with Double-A Pensacola, where he went 2-for-7 with a game-tying, three-run home run in the eighth inning of a 5-3 Blue Wahoo’s loss on Wednesday.
