The Cincinnati Reds traveled to Kansas City on Tuesday morning, but their game against the Royals on Tuesday night was postponed.
The Reds and Royals will play a pair of seven-inning games in a doubleheader on Wednesday, beginning at 5:05 p.m. Major League Baseball, in a statement, said the postponement was "out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing within the Cincinnati Reds' organization."
One Reds player tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. There haven't been any additional positive tests, but there could've been players held out of Tuesday's game because they were exposed to their teammate and identified in the contact tracing process.
