The Cincinnati Reds’ farmhands had contributed to a nine game winning streak before losing three in a row. That’s still good for a 2.5 game lead in the west division. The Javelinas have only lost one road game to date.
Shortstop Zach Vincej is leading all regulars for Peoria with a .364 batting average. He is also tied for the home run lead with three and leads the Javelinas in RBI. Despite batting in the lower third of the order, Vincej is still second on the team in OPS behind back up outfielder Guillermo Heredia. He even has a walk off grand slam.
