Reds third baseman Eugenio Suárez will be one of the headline players representing the MLB team in the 2018 Japan All-Star Series.
Suárez, selected to his first All-Star Game earlier this season, entered Monday with 31 home runs and 100 RBI. He’s tied for the National League lead in RBI and ranks sixth in homers.
The offseason tour will feature seven games from Nov. 8-15 across Japan. It’s the 37th time Major Leaguers have toured Japan for games since MLB started doing it in 1908.
Players will receive $100,000 for participating in the tour, according to the sport’s collective bargaining agreement.
