DENVER – The Cincinnati Reds did just about everything to give away Sunday’s series finale against the Colorado Rockies with several defensive mistakes.
Fortunately for them, they were playing the Rockies.
The Reds erased a five-run deficit in the final two innings and Nick Senzel scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in a 7-6 victory at Coors Field. As poorly as the Reds played defensively, they earned a series split against the Rockies and finished their nine-game road trip with a 5-4 record.
Trailing by a run in the ninth inning, the Reds loaded the bases through a hit batsman, single and walk.
