Cincinnati Reds enter a rain delay at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

CLEVELAND –– Before it even started raining, the Cincinnati Reds game on Friday night against Cleveland was delayed due to rain.

The game was postponed while the Reds concluded batting practice under clear skies. But the forecast called for a 100% chance of rain at 7 p.m. Outfielder Shogo Akiyama and infielder Kyle Farmer got their final swings in just before the rain started falling.

The Reds game was scheduled for a 7:10 start. Following the delay, there is no announced time for the game to resume.
